DIRECTIONAL MANAGEMENT

A partly-remote planning of research team activities and vessel navigation processes will show how combining technology and organization can ensure accuracy, efficiency and safety.

  • The application of remotely-controlled functions in the vessel will reduce non-scientific personnel and optimize processes, as well as contribute to the automation in the field of integrated ship guidance systems.
  • The structure will house all the administrative staff who will take care of the organization and the coordination of the research teams on behalf of the consortium.

TEACHING AND RESEARCH

Reconcile teaching and research spaces will be able to foster the creation of a dynamic, stimulating and cooperative environment.

LOGISTIC SPACES AND TECHNICAL AREAS

Providing the vessel with logistic spaces and technical areas will further optimize operations at sea thanks to the possibility of manufacturing, modifying and repairing tools, machines and structural elements.

  • A mechanical workshop equipped with special machinery for the processing of hard metals, such as stainless steel or Ti (Titanium) will make it possible to produce ad hoc pieces and / or maintain the equipment intended for operations in an underwater environment.
  • Il laboratorio e le aree tecniche saranno facilmente accessibili dai moli preposti alle operazione di carico e scarico leggero, garantendo così, una continuità tra nave e terra ferma.

The goal of the collaboration will be the production of some project documents (in the form of a Thesis or practice exercise) dealing with the location and the main architectural aspects of a hypothetical Headquarters. The reuse and recovery of structural elements within the arsenal of Venice will be considered, as well as other potentially suitable locations (to be identified).

Così da poter strutturare i principali aspetti architettonici di un ipotetico Headquarters tramite il riutilizzo e recupero di strutture presenti all’interno dell’arsenale di Venezia.
